The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced on November 14 the recall notice from Ford Motor Co. The recall affects 229,609 vehicles of the 2025 and 2026 Ford Bronco and Bronco Sport models currently on the market, and the issue is related to a defect in one of the instrument panel screens, which does not display critical driving information. Ford announced that the repair will be carried out completely free of charge and will be resolved through a software update that can be done at an authorized dealership or over the air (OTA).
Ford’s new massive recall
On November 14, 2025, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced the massive recall of 229,609 vehicles from Ford Motor Co., specifically the 2025 and 2026 Ford Bronco and Bronco Sport models. According to the announcement, the recall is due to a failure of one of the instrument panel screens, which does not work correctly when starting the vehicle, preventing the display of information essential for driving. According to Ford’s recall notice, “An instrument panel screen that does not display critical information, such as warning lights or vehicle speed, increases the risk of an accident”.
Solution in sight
Unlike withdrawals that require a longer period of time to give the solution, announced will issue a full software update, totally free for all affected.
